Los Angeles County Sheriff’s investigators are searching for additional possible victims of a man accused of sexually assaulting and robbing another man he met through an online dating platform in the unincorporated community of Valinda.
Junior Romero Carbajal, 35, allegedly attacked the victim on Aug. 1, 2026, in the 1200 block of Hartview Avenue, near Industry, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. He was arrested two days later.

Investigators said the victim met and befriended Carbajal through an online dating platform before arranging to meet him in person. During the encounter, Carbajal allegedly sexually assaulted the man and stole several of his personal belongings.
Carbajal faces six felony counts, including charges involving sexual assault, burglary, robbery, criminal threats and grand theft, as well as two misdemeanor counts related to drug offenses, authorities said.
Sheriff’s investigators believe there may be additional victims who have encountered Carbajal and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
Authorities have released a photograph of Carbajal in hopes of identifying other possible victims.
